OLi POWA-5: Active Monitors with Multiple Connectivity Options

The OLi POWA-5 is Roth AV’s very first active monitor and builds on the success of the already proven OLi passive loudspeaker range. An active loudspeaker works the same way as a passive speaker but the power amplifier is built into the one of the loudspeaker enclosures (along with all the connectivity) and there’s just one speaker cable to run from this to the partnering passive speaker. We’ve ensured that the amplifier is very closely matched to the characteristics of the tweeter and driver and the speaker enclosures to yield the very best possible performance.

For connectivity we’ve included 1x pair RCA analogue connectors (e.g. CD player), 1x 3.5mm stereo jack input (e.g. MP3 player), 2x Optical inputs (TV or high-end CD/DVD player) and a Bluetooth receiver (for wireless connection to your music-enabled mobile ‘phone, tablet, laptop, etc.). In addition, there are two USB outputs to provide power to your mobile devices plus a sub-woofer output if you require even more bass from your system.

In today’s connected world, the OLi POWA-5 really do cut the mustard - with the choice of analogue, digital or wireless Bluetooth® inputs these speakers will ‘talk’ to any kind of source and reproduce your music (or movie soundtrack) brilliantly.

If you’re just playing a game on your tablet or PC, keep it on your lap (or desktop!) and the soundtrack to the game can be heard via the Bluetooth® link through the speakers on the other side of the room. Place either side of your TV for really involving audio to your movies, utilising the analogue or optical outputs from your set-top box, DVD player or TV. And when you just want to listen to music, switch inputs and connect via Bluetooth® with your mobile ’phone or tablet.
