If you have come to this part of our website directly, then you’ll have missed the background on the people behind Roth Audio – go back to www.rothaudio.co.uk and click on ‘Welcome to the world of Roth’, which tells the story in a fairly concise manner.  The same rules apply – all we want to do is design the very best tools for someone to listen to, or play their music on – simple.

If you need to know more, well, we’re a team of people who have all been involved in the music industry in some way, whether it be as musicians, designers of high quality audio products, or the guy that drove the white transit van with the band and all their gear to a grotty venue somewhere in Brighton on a wet and windy night in November and only 8 people turned up, none paid and three of them were there by accident anyway.  Many of you reading this will, no doubt, fully understand what we’re saying here.

So, these guitar combo products – what are they all about then ?

We have a design team who know a bit about guitar related products – they play guitar themselves, they have designed world-class award winning products and they wanted to do something new. They wanted to build something which had a real ‘British’ sound and something which provided far better value for money than anything that had gone before.  This means that the design team needed to be global – British engineers for Audio, American engineers for performance functions and Far East production engineers to make the range affordable.

We think that with this new range from Roth, they have achieved all of the above.

One other thing about us:   we are (we think), very approachable. We love to talk to people who make music, and listen to music, and we are always open to suggestions as to how we can improve our products, service, etc., so feel free to call or email and we’ll do our best to respond to you quickly.

Some key contact names for you:

  • James – the Man In Charge.  Has been described as the best looking man in the music business.  By himself.

  • Gareth – the Man Who Knows.  Guitarist, musician, all-round good guy.  Except when he runs out of hair wax.

  • Tony – the Man in the Studio.  Has been likened to the guy in the James Bond films who strokes the white cat.

  • Kerr Avon – the Man who is Spokesman.  We restrict his access to the general public for reasons which we cannot disclose.  Sounds odd, but it works. As Toyah Wilcox once sang ‘it’s a mystery, oh it’s a mystery’.

  • Sarah – the Woman with Nerves of Steel.  Nerves. Steely. Woman.  Enough said.

  • Deborah – the Woman Who Knows Too.  Nothing may be added.

  • Murdo – (he’s Scottish) – PR, Marketing and expert on Scottish devolution.  A keen ear for audio reproduction and a keen eye for a good pub.
